Welcome to bafflecurtains.co.nz
Baffle curtains are used in waste water treatment reservoirs to improve the operating efficiency of WWTP systems. Baffle curtains minimise short circulating of water in the reservoir, increasing the retention time and thus optimising the reservoirs volume.
The basic structural elements of a baffle curtain are:
- Buoyancy tube, top part of the baffle being supported at water level
- Skirt immediately below the buoyancy tube.
- Tension member to allow control over the position of the baffle curtain within the reservoir
- Shore anchorage points
- Cross anchors which connect along both sides of the curtain to maintain postion
Applications:
- Waste water treatment plant lagoons
- Turbidity barriers
- Debris barriers
- Silt curtains
